Exploring Cultural and Literary Heritage: HIMASASING’s Cultural Tour to Kota Tua Museums

Jakarta, December 3, 2024 – The English Literature Student Association (HIMASASING) successfully organized a cultural museum tour to Kota Tua, Jakarta, under the theme “Cultural Explore: Indonesia’s Traditions and the Connection Between Art and Literature.” The eventaimed to deepen students’ understanding of Indonesian culture while highlighting its connections to literary works.

A Day of Cultural Immersion
The tour, held from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM, included visits to three iconic museums:

  1. Jakarta History Museum (Museum Sejarah Jakarta) – Exploring Jakarta’s historical evolution.
  2. Museum of Fine Arts and Ceramics (Museum Seni Rupa dan Keramik) – Showcasing Indonesia’s artistic and ceramic traditions
  3. Bank Indonesia Museum – Highlighting Indonesia’s economic and historical milestones.

The program is participated by 38 English Literature students, accompanied by Ms. Tri Rahayu Mayasari,S.S.,M.Hum., a dedicated lecturer from the study program.

Leadership and Organization
The event was led by Natasha Claudia Sartika Hutagalung, Chief Executive and Head of HIMASASING’s Multimedia Division. As part of HIMASASING’s annual work program, the tour was meticulously planned to ensure a smooth and enriching experience for all attendees.
