Terwujudnya  Program Studi Sastra Indonesia Swasta yang unggul dalam bidang kajian kebahasaan, kesastraan, dan  kebudayan Indonesia, serta mampu menjadikan industri kreatif  bidang bahasa sastra pada tahun 2025.

Misi

  1. Mengembangkan kualitas sumber daya manusia  dalam bidang bahasa dan sastra Indonesia melalui proses pembelajaran, penelitian, dan pengabdian kepada masyarakat.
  2. Mengembangkan kualitas sumber daya manusia yang profesional dan mempunyai jiwa kewirausahaan melalui kebahasaan dan kesastraan.
  3. Membentuk lulusan yang kreatif, inovatif, analitis, dan kritis dalam menyikapi perkembangan bidang ilmu bahasa, sastra, dan kebudayaan Indonesia.
  4. Membentuk lulusan yang menguasai bahasa dan sastra Indonesia serta mampu mengamalkannya kepada masyarakat melalui berbagai media.

VISION

To create an Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program that excels in the education and development of Indonesian language, literature, and culture.

MISSIONS

  1. To equip future graduates with knowledge in Indonesian linguistics, literature, and culture.
  2. To produce creative, analytical, and critical candidates in addressing the development of Indonesian language, literature, and culture.
  3. To nurture devout future scholars with clear conscience for the greater benefit of the nation.

OBJECTIVES

The Indonesian Language and Literature Department aims to produce skilled, creative, productive, professional, and innovative scholars in the fields of Indonesian language, literature and culture and able to practice their knowledge in the community.

The Indonesian Language and Literature of Unas is a pioneer in the development of linguistics and literature in Indonesia both theoretically and practically. Established in 1949, it was acclaimed as the pioneer of Indonesian literature program designed for a private university. This study program never ceases to expose its students to a broad variety of classical and modern literature, supported by the credibility of Begawan Sastra (A Literary Master), Prof. Sutan Takdir Alisyahbana. Now, by applying a competency-based curriculum, the Indonesian Language and Literature Program not only equips its students with linguistic and literary skills in Indonesian Language, but also proficiency in the areas of:

  2. TRANSLATION
  3. JOURNALISM
  4. REPORTING
  5. SCRIPT WRITING
  6. BROADCASTING
  7. LYRICIST
  8. NOVELIST
  9. CORRESPONDENT

PROFESSION PROSPECT

The alumni of the Indonesian Language and Literature Program of UNAS have taken part in various business fields as well as entrepreneurship. Some of them are thriving as film or sinetron (Indonesian soap opera) producers, advertising staff, literary critics, etc.

PROGRAMS OF TRAFFIC AND DEPARTMENT OF FACULTY

Students are given the opportunity to improve their competence by taking courses outside their study program on other faculties, such as: Computer, Accounting, Marketing, Diplomacy, etc. These subjects will be useful in supporting their careers later on.
